Description

Common lecture for both orthodontists and dental technicians to raise awareness supporting a close cooperation in the area of digital workflows and working hand in hand for better treatment results. Replacement of transitional techniques by digital alternatives, e. g. Digital Appliance Design: what and how, advantages and disadvantages of digital appliance design and CAD/CAM 3D-printed metal appliances. Orthodontics is changing rapidly. Traditional techniques are replaced by digital processes and devices and there is no other way to survive than adapting to current developments. Digitalization goes along with new techniques and appliances, streamlined processes and new or adapted workflows. This course covers all topics related to digital orthodontics from A–Z: From digital workflows and processes to state-of-the- art appliances thus allowing quicker handling of orders to sustainably increase customer satisfaction. In addition to the standard lecture, this course is meant to be interactive with intense Q & A sessions and in-depth discussions in order to create a comprehensive understanding of the future laboratory setting in orthodontics.
