2. Int. AVOLA Symposium (Bern, Switzerland)

The 2nd AVOLA Symposium, themed "One Body, One Health" takes place on Friday, October 16,
2026, at the KURSAAL Bern (08:30–19:00), and offers 7 continuing education credits. Core
offering:

- Evidence-based education on prevention and health promotion, treating the body,
behavior, and environment as one connected system.
- Scientific keynotes and talks on gut microbiome, metabolic health, nutrition psychology,
and diet-periodontitis links.
- Two rounds of breakout sessions (choose 2 of 7 topics), covering healthy longevity,
brain/behavior science, AI in prevention, gut-focused nutrition, orofacial fitness,
prevention beyond dentistry, and habit-forming prevention strategies.
- A closing keynote by Anna Rosling Rönnlund (GAPMINDER Foundation) on using data and
clarity to counter misinformation and support science-based decision-making.
- A Swiss Cheese Buffet networking reception to close the day.
